This batch isnt looking all too healthy just yet. It's more my fault than anything. I soaped too hot and I'm getting a little bit of oil seperation. We all know that alot of those sugary sweet fragrance dont like hot temps. You'd think that after more than 10 years of soaping I'd know this by now eh?? You know me......hard headed to the very core!

This fabulous fragrance is of course from www.daystarsupplies.com It's by far the juiciest and richest straight Pomegranate I've ever soaped, and Iv'e soaped tons of em. Again, this oil slick is my fault for soaping it hot and letting it gel too hot. I'm expecting the oil to reabsorb without any problems.

That red swirl that you see trying to make it's appearance was made with red oxide, with a titch of titanium dioxide and an even smaller titch of UM Blue. Fabulous red red. The beigy looking part of the soap, where that's just gel. It'll lighten up ALOT when it's back to room temp. I'll update the pics when these are cut because I'm sort of excited about the color... And do you see towards the top right of the soap itself, it sort of looks like a piece of paper or something just under the surface? I FINALLY figured out what it is!! It's the reflection of the stove light on the surface of the oil and hot gelled soap!! I'm such a dork.....but we know this....

Kazi Kazi

This yummmmmy soap was made with Kazi Kazi from www.daystarsupplies.com I added a splash of dark indonesian patchouli to amp it up a little bit. NOT that this popular Karma dupe needed to be amped up, but it's a special batch for a very special lady....one of my other mother's. Stacy's mom *loves* patchouli and I've been promising to make her a patchouli batch JUST for her because her mean other daughter wont make her any. ::grin::

The swirls are made with ground cinnamon. I dont know why, but I cant make a patchouli batch without adding ground cinnamon to it. The fragrance doesnt come through at all, but it sure goes great together! Cant say enough about this fabu fragrance. I dont remember it's a VS dupe or a BBW dupe, but it also smells like that Bedtime Bath. It's wonderlous!!! Soaped like a dream. You can see the calendula petals in the mix, and that gorgeous gold color comes from the calendula infused olive oil i used as a heavy percentage of the formula.

I'll update the pics when I get this cut in a few days!

Fragrance is from www.daystarsupplies.com

this mold is what i call my Danny DeVito mold. Cold process with a steep water discount. By doing it this way. we know how the fragrance reacts in soap, and after several months of sitting up on the shelf, we know exactly how it discolors and how the scent holds up.

These most amazing silicone molds come from http://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/ I **love** them. No lining, no cutting. What more can we ask for? Perfect for test batches or for your regular line up. These rectangle bars measure 2.5 x 3.5 and weigh roughly 5.5oz when filled to the top of the mold.

The above picture is from this mornings tests.
